Died at 5:50
p.m. Sunday, March 2, 1986, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional
Medical Center. He was 54, a native of McCall Creek, Miss., and a
resident of Baton Rouge. He was a Gulf States Utilities Co.
foreman and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. Religious
services were held at Welsh Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
conducted by the Rev. Tommy French. Graveside services at 1:30
p.m. Tuesday at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, McCall Creek.
Survived by wife, Shirley C. Wilson, Baton Rouge; mother, Mrs.
Beulah S. Wilson, Natchez, Miss.; two sons, David Michael Wilson,
Reserve, and Perry Ray Wilson, Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law,
Beverly G. Wilson, Reserve; three sisters, Marjorie Montgomery,
Natchez, Idell Chapman, Union Church, Miss., and Joy Craddock,
Caseyville, Miss.; a brother, Clyde V. Wilson, Baton Rouge; and
two grandchildren, Jerry and Michael Wilson. Pallbearers will be
Boyd Eiseworth, Eugene Whitehead, John Sullivan, John Hobbs, Jim
Neal, and Marvin O'Neal. He was a member of Jefferson Baptist
Church.
