A retired
operator with Copolymer Rubber and Chemical and a lifelong
resident of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Our
Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 67. Visiting at
Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday
and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services at the funeral home
chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Robert Lane.
Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife,
Geraldine Palmer Westbrook; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhebe and
Richard Conrad; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tyrus Jeffrey and
Janet Westbrook, and Wayne Boyd and Stacey Westbrook; a sister,
Leona Hodges; and six grandchildren, Richard T. Conrad III and his
wife, Tammy, Brandon R. Conrad, Austin, Justin, Katherine and
Garrett Westbrook. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie
and Leona Westbrook; and two brothers, Johnnie E. Westbrook Jr.
and Eugene Westbrook. Pallbearers will be his nephews, James,
Terry, Brent and Joel Hodges, Charles, James and Bret Courtney. He
was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations may
be made to the American Lung Association or to Grace Presbyterian
Church Youth Group.
