Died Friday, June
11, 1993, at his residence in Boulder, Colo. He was 61, a
native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Boulder since 1966. He
retired from I>B>M> in 1987 after 31 years during which
he held various management and staff positions in manufacturing
and engineering. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean
Conflict. Memorial services will be held Thursday in Boulder, and
at Lanier Baptist Church, 4851 Lanier Drive, Baton Rouge, at 10
a.m. Saturday. Survived by wife, Patricia J. Balch Walters,
Boulder, two sons, Stephen J. Walters, Monroe, and Gregory M.
Walters, Baton Rouge; three stepsons, Gary M. Balch, Mark W. Balch
and Brian L. Balch, all of Lafayette, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Karen
L. Connelly, Louisville, Colo.; mother, Mary Coates Walters, Baton
Rouge; six sisters, Rita Adcock, Norma Brabham, Eloise Walters,
and Helen Mann, all of Baton Rouge, Jerry Longmire, LaMarque,
Texas, and Jane Molbert, Slidell; five brothers, Ray Walters,
Denham Springs, Alex Walters, Vero Beach, Fla., Charles Walters,
Flagstaff, Ariz., Terry Walters, Austin, Texas, and Ralph Walters,
Longmont, Colo.; and 11 grandchildren. Preceded in death by
father, William L. Walters. He graduated from Istrouma High School
in 1950 and attended L>S>U> and the University of
