VICKNAIR,
GERTRUDE TAYLOR
A retired
accounting specialist with the state Department of Education and a
resident of Greenwell Springs, she died peacefully at 12:33 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center
after a lengthy illness. She was 68, born June 22, 1932, in Obion
County, Tenn. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000
Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m.
Monday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m.
Monday, conducted by Deacon James Wax. Interment in Greenoaks
Memorial Park. Survived by a son, Douglas E. Vicknair Jr.; three
daughters, Sheila Runnels, Teri Callender and Donna Drago; nine
grandchildren, Shane Callender, Damon and Daniel Runnels, Rachel,
Sarah and Paul Vicknair, and Brandon, Travis and Cody Drago; and a
great-granddaughter, Taylor Jayde Callender. Another
great-granddaughter, Cheramie Taylor Kravitz, is expected to be
born soon. She is also survived by a sister, Margaret Morgan; her
mother, Sarah Liszeo; and a special nephew and niece, Mike Morgan
and Pam Morgan Mire. Preceded in death by a son, Douglas Keith
Vicknair; father, Paul Taylor; and husband, Douglas E. Vicknair
Sr. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
