Died
approximately 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1988, at Our Lady of the Lake
Regional Medical Center. He was 55, a native and resident of Baton
Rouge. He was Credit Manager for the State-Times/Morning Advocate
with 31 years of service. Arrangements are incomplete at
Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Survived by
wife, Rosalie Smith Strickland, Baton Rouge; a daughter and
son-in-law, Kahne Lin and Donald McDowell Jr., Baton Rouge; three
sisters, Mrs. Mildred Mixon, Kentwood, Mrs. Cleo Doris James,
Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Bert Sevier, Lake Charles; three brothers,
Wayne Strickland, Cashiers, N.C., Dale Strickland, Baton Rouge,
and Carlton Strickland, Baytown, Texas; and two grandchildren,
Kyle Rogers McDowell and Donald McDowell III, both of Baton Rouge.
