Gary Joseph Price, 79, passed
away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional
Medical Center at 10:30 a.m. A resident of Baton Rouge, he retired
from the Baton Rouge Water Co. in 1988. His sense of humor,
charismatic personality and dedication influenced everyone he came
in to contact with everyday. Gary never failed to put a smile on
your face and always lifted the spirits of his family and friends.
Gary enjoyed fishing, whether at Grand Isle or on his computer,
woodworking and sharing stories and pictures of his
grandchildren/great-grandchildren to all. He was a dedicated
Christian and baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in May 1997.
Those left to cherish his memory include a loving and dedicated
wife of 59 years, Ethel "Peggy" Price; a son, Gary Wayne
Price and wife Rachel; two daughters, Linda Jarreau and husband
Kim, and Cindy Cambre and husband Marc; and two sisters, Mary
Folegman and husband Elvin, Virginia Rae LeBlanc and husband
Bobby. The loves of his life include eight grandchildren, Jason
Price, Aimee Pourciau, Michael Price, Katie Crochet, Jared Scott,
Michelle Guthrie, Donald Quintana, and Adrianne Cambre; four
great-grandchildren, Samantha Pelletier, Stephanie Pourciau,
Kinley Stafford, Allie Guthrie; an expected great-grandchild,
Kayden Quintana; and a great-great-grandson, Chandler Pelletier.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Frank Price; mother,
Zephyr Inez Price; brothers, John "Son" Price Jr. and
Wallace Price; a sister, Doris Harrison; and his precious
daughter, Terri Lynn Price. Pallbearers will be Jason Price,
Michael Price, Jared Scott, Donald Quintana, Kirk Price and Brent
Guthrie. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida
Blvd., Sunday, June 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at
the funeral home Monday, June 28, from 8 a.m. until time of
services at 10:30 a.m.
