Died 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1992, at his residence in Pensacola Beach,
Fla. He was 61, a native of Franklin county, Miss., a
former resident of Baton Rouge, and a resident of Pensacola Beach,
Fla. He was retired as a national football league coach
after assistant coaching jobs with Baltimore Colts, Washington
Redskins, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs and head coach of the
San Francisco 49ers. His college jobs were Baylor
University, U.S. Naval Academy, University of Houston, and Stephen
F. Austin University. He recently was the head coach of the
American Football Association of Finland. Visiting at
Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday, and 10 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday,
conducted by Captain L. Markham, U.S.N. retired. Burial in
Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Mrs. Nettie Jean
Disch McCulley, Pensacola Beach, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law,
Kim Bolinger and Rob Bolinger; a son and daughter-in-law, Lt.
Commander Kit McCulley and Susan McCulley; a brother, Robert
McCulley; and three grandchildren, Hannah Bolinger, Kaitlin
McCulley and Zachary McCulley. Preceded in death by parents,
Claude and Georgia Price McCulley; and a son, Billy McCulley.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Meador, Randy Meador, Russell Meador,
Rick Meador, Steve Ripple and Gary Champagne. Memorial
