Died Tuesday,
Dec. 10, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center,
Baton Rouge. He was 61, a native of DeQueen, Ark., and a resident
of Denham Springs. He was a Barnard & Burk Construction Co.
estimator. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 3 to 9
p.m. Thursday and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday. Religious services at
the funeral home, 11:30 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. James
A. Nichols and Dr. Brad Curry. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by wife, Joyce Lee Young Duke, Denham Springs; parents,
Mamie Grant and Porter Duke Sr., Denham Springs; two daughters,
Cathy Duke Graham, Baytown, Texas, and Jennie Duke Bedford, Texas;
two sons, Walter and Robert Duke, both of Baton Rouge, a stepson,
Warren B. Saxton, Norfolk, Va., a sister, Shirley Duke Gain, Lake
Charles, a brother, Dr. John P. Duke, Jr., Williamsburg, Ky.; and
seven grandchildren. He was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist
Church, Baton Rouge.
