BURRIS, JR. EUGENE Q. "GENE"
Retired from
auto sales and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Sunday, May 21,
2000. He was 69 and a native of Auburn, Miss. He was a U.S. Air
Force veteran, having served with the 805th Operations Squadron,
Strategic Air Command. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home
East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting
at the funeral home chapel from 11 a.m. until religious services
at 1 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Norris Guilbeau. Interment in
Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Edith Bowman
Burris; mother, Lola Jordan Burris; mother-in-law, Addie Howard
Bowman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Ronald Caillais
and Lisa and Bubba McNew; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and
Rhetta Burris; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Faye and
Herman Kralemann and Annette and Webb Umberger; seven
grandchildren, Chris and Casey Burris, Michelle Herring, Jeremy
Caillais, and Mindy, Michael and Miranda McNew; and two
great-grandchildren, Lane and Memi Herring. Preceded in death by
his father, Eugene Q. Burris Sr. Pallbearers will be Randy Burris,
Chris Burris, Ronald Caillais, Jeremy Caillais, Bubba McNew and
Michael McNew.
