| A retired millwright and
a resident of Walker, he died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10,
2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He
was 72 and a native of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Army
veteran. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel,
11000 Florida Blvd., from 9 a.m. Saturday until memorial
service at 11 a.m., conducted by his nephew, the Rev. Terry
Bishop. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, Rose R. Bishop; a daughter
and son-in-law, Robin and Dana Gillespie; three sons and two
daughters-in-law, Carey and Diane Phillips, Harold C.
Whisenhunt, and Paul and Alicia Bishop; four nieces, Susan
Kees, Debra Johnson, Laura Legeai and Inga Sarazan; four
nephews, Harry Jr., Johnny, Gary and Terry Bishop; a special
nephew, Barry Bishop; and two grandchildren, Gary and Curt
Whisenhunt. Preceded in death by his parents, Percy and
Clyde Bishop; and four brothers, Jack, Harry, Bill and Jimmy
Bishop. |
