Gaudet Adam was a kind man, always doing something to help, I can remember when I was young hunting in the Spillway with My Daddy Jimmy, we would go to Adam's house boat and he would have breakfast ready and I would eat with him, or I would spent a week or so down the street at MAMA Judy's and PAPA Walters house, It was a real treat for me to come to the city and spend time with everyone, Him and his family we always be in my heart. Love Darrell Gaudet and family. Cathy, Brandon, Tal, and Amber.

Carl
and Mary Spillman Bodie was one of a kind. His contributions to IBM, United Way projects, Better Business Bureau, large and small customers, friends, sometimes strangers, and many others were all done quietly and willingly. He didnt seek or need any publicity for anything he did. He was a giver and a doer and got great personal satisfaction from accomplishing whatever was on his agenda and then quietly went on his way to the next project. Everyone that knew him admired and respected him. Our family will miss him and never forget him.

Al
Miller My prayers and thoughts go out to Bodie's family and friends. I had the great honor of working with Bodie here in Baton Rouge many years ago. I was proud to have him on my team and always knew he gave 100% to his job and to everyone he worked with. I shall always remember him for his sincerity and honesty. He was a very fine human being and though he will be deeply missed his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Willard Boudreaux I have known Bodie for 41 years, having worked with him at IBM. Bodie taught me what love really is. I loved this man so much, but as my husband I only had him 47 days. We did have one great year together, having fallen in love with him April 2008. Bodie never gave up in these last 5 months when his lungs slowly gave out. The first day he was not able to get out of bed was the day of his death. Thankfully, Louis (his best friend) were both with him the moment he passed away. Bodie was ready to go .... even though we weren't ready for him to go. But, he definitely didn't want to continue living the way he was having to live in the last few months ...... tied to a 57 ft. length of tubing connected to his "oxygen generator". We shared a great love and respect for each other, and we had great fun together right up to the end. Bodie did not want a funeral -- He did not want us to mourn his death .... he wanted us to celebrate his life .... which we are doing big-time this Sunday, June 14th. God Bless you Bodie for giving me a year of fun and love.

Frank
Muscarello My condolences and prayers go out to Bodie's family. I knew Bodie while working at Ethyl/Albemarle as a friend, one of the best CE's that IBM had, and a great and fun person to be around. We knew when we made the call for service to IBM, that if Bodie was on the way, our troubles would be taken care of, even in the middle of the night. He had more stories about himself, Leroy Dugas, Joe Lefebvre, Francis Mestayer, Carl Spillman, Sonny Buvens ( I know there were others but I apologize for not being able to remember their names). I had not seen him in many years but I was still saddened to hear of his death. He was a SPECIAL kind of guy and you don't find many like him today. Rest well Bodie in your new world, you deserve it.

Stringer I have known Bodie and his brother, Walt for many years. Bodie was truly a special person with a great sense of humor. I remember once when I heard the most gosh awful noise coming from the computer room. When I went to investigate, there was Bodie, having a great time jumping up and down on bubble wrap! Not only was he known for his great personality, you could always count on Bodie. When he said he was going to do something, he always did it. His word was as good as a contract. He will be greatly missed by all.

Callaghan, Sr. I was deeply saddened
to hear the passing of Bodie Boudreaux. I first met Bodie at the Computer
Center at LSU. He represented IBM and serviced our department for many of
the 30 years I was there. He was one of the best IBM CE's that I've ever
met; a true professional. Bodie was one of those truly unique individuals
that you meet in life and never forget. He will be sadly missed by
everyone at LSU whose lives and careers he touched over the years.

Bennett Bodie like a gift
from God to me in my personal and professional life. He encouraged and
inspired me at work and at play. I remember when my truck broke just as I
was about to leave for vacation. He and my dad and Ed Munoz all came to
overhaul the engine and he worked harder then any of us.

Dugas I will truely miss
Bodie, I always looked forward to visiting with him and talking with him.

His passing is truely a loss for all us. |

Francis
& Judy Mestayer To our very good friend 'Little Bodie', he was a mentor, friend, lawnmowerman, great fisherman, not too far neighbor, great fish firer, good BRAWL buddy, could fix just about anything mechanical, could tell some super tales, laughed all the time. One day the man across the street from me bought one of Bodie's rebuilt riding lawnmowers and asked me to pick it up with my truck. After seeing the mower we figured out it would not fit in the bed of my truck. So Bodie with his great wisdom drove it down the street to my street. cutting somebody's grass along the way. We will miss you great Buddy and you will always be remember as 'Little Bodie', compared to me as they called me 'Big Bodie'. We will at your house for the party June 14th and share the gift of life with your family & friends. Bye good Buddy, Rest In Peace...............

June 20, 2009 What a special man Mr. Bodie was!!!!!.....He and his family have always been a great part of my family’s life. I remember the time when I was a youngster going over and knocking on his door to see if Mr. Bodie could come out and play. He would always be stocked up on “Pernurple” Popcycles.A quote that we have said many time in the Ellis’ Household: “If Mr. Bodie can’t fix it……No One CAN!!!!!!!” Mr. Bodie, you will be missed!
