Adam's Final Resting Place
Lake Palourde

Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd:
I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures:  He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.  Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear
no evil for Thou art with me:  Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies;  Thou anointest my
head with oil;  my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness
and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the lord for-ever.

Adam's Wishes

Adam passed away at 11:00 AM May 31, 2009.  At about 2:00 PM Resthaven Funeral Home picked up his body.  This is the last time the family saw him.  His daughter picked up his ashes on Tuesday.  There was no wake.  His request was to have a memorial party, including a band, to celebrate his life.  His ashes was to be deposited in Lake Palourde.  The fishing camp that he had for years is near Lake Palourde.  This is where he fished most of the time.

His memorial was held June 14 at his home.  Services were conducted by Rev. Frank Johnson and several people gave testimonials .  On June 15 the family deposited his ashes in Lake Palourde.
